Lodestar recognise that the best people to tell us what our pupils need, are our pupils!

The School Council is made up of a group of pupils from across both Primary and Secondary, who meet each month to discuss issues in the school.

Staff support this process, however the School Council Lead (a pupil from our secondary provision) takes the main responsibility for ensuring the Council bring to the table relevant issues and come up with ideas to solve problems.

Lodestar use the information from Council meetings to inform our own development plans.

The School Council are also invited to take part in the yearly whole-school self-assessment process, giving them a real opportunity to shape the future of Lodestar School.
